University of Illinois

The University of Illinois retained Reifsteck Wakefield Fanning to upgrade Suite 212 on the second floor of the Materials Sciences and Engineering Building. The spaces were designated for the use of faculty, UIUC personnel and graduate students. The new suite space which includes a faculty lounge/work area is specifically designated for the use of faculty and students affiliated with the Department of Material Science and Engineering.

The scope of work includes designing laboratories for two Principal Investigators. The space will also be used by twenty (20) Graduate Students that are associated with this specific space and faculty. The suite has new fume hoods, laboratory casework, benches, islands, emergency eyewash stations, and lab utilities which are provided in accordance with good lab practices and University Standards.

Included in the scope of work is a remote, third floor mechanical space with secondary fan equipment located on an adjacent rooftop.
